In the eyes of Robin Monks

Remember my post yesterday with the opera->google rumors (1,2)? Well, it looks the the gossip has gone even further. As I predicted, the ““I want to get slashdottedâ€? syndrome” has gone into it’s final stage, the slashdot homepage:

patro writes “Opera Watch writes Google is planning to buy the Opera browser. The source of the claim is Pierre Chappaz, the former president of Yahoo Europe. Google obviously can’t buy Firefox, so Opera might be the next possible candidate.” I can’t begin to imagine why.

So, I wonder how much further this rumor can go? Or will it die…like most gossip. Comments welcome.
